The Foundation of Unity

True unity among believers is not merely about agreeing on every point of doctrine; it is a spiritual condition of the heart. Referencing Psalm 133, the discussion highlights how “brethren dwelling together in unity” is the prerequisite for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. While doctrine is vital, a deeper layer of humility and the removal of pride are necessary to prevent the constant divisions seen in modern Protestantism. If a brother is perceived to be in error, the biblical response is to draw closer to them in love rather than pulling away in judgment.

From Legalism to Liberty

The journey toward this community involved coming out of rigid, legalistic mindsets often found in fundamentalist circles. Both hosts share their backgrounds in the Seventh-day Adventist movement and the subsequent transition toward a more grace-centered faith.

  • The Slander of a “False Prophet”: During this transition, public accusations and slanders surfaced, including a viral video labeling one host a “false prophet” due to a misunderstood statement about the gifts of the Spirit. Rather than defending himself, he chose to trust God to reveal the truth over time, mirroring the silence of Christ before His accusers.

The Move to Arkansas

The establishment of the community wasn’t the result of a corporate master plan, but a series of incremental, providential steps.

  • A Miracle Property: After a long search for rural land, a 3,000-square-foot house in foreclosure was discovered at the end of a secluded road. The purchase felt like a direct answer to prayer, providing a base for future ministry.

  • Acts of Brotherhood: The bond between the families was cemented through acts of sacrifice. In one instance, a $4,000 gift was given to prevent a brother from having to sell his truck during a financial crisis—a gesture that reflected the “no strings attached” love of the early church.

The Tornado Survival Miracle

The most traumatic and defining moment for the community occurred on March 6, 2022, when a massive tornado struck the property.

  • The Shipping Container: With no traditional storm shelter, one family huddled inside a shipping container filled with appliances. As the tornado hit, the container was lifted and rolled through the air like a “washing machine.”

  • A Prayer for Protection: In the midst of the chaos, the only words spoken were a simple prayer: “Jesus, keep us.” * The Aftermath: While the house was completely leveled and several family members suffered broken ribs and spinal injuries, everyone survived. The subsequent cleanup effort, aided by neighbors and friends from different denominations, became a powerful bonding experience that proved God’s hand was still over the mission.

Looking Forward

Surviving the storm didn’t lead to despair, but to a renewed sense of purpose. The tragedy served as a “reset,” stripping away material attachments and strengthening the resolve to build a community founded on faith rather than possessions. Future discussions will explore the rebuilding process, the start of a lifestyle retreat, and the expansion of the community’s construction and resource ministries.
